 The curly updo hair style, see below, looks very glamorous.  Wispy strands of curly pieces are left out in front to help define the hair and add a little softness to it.

To create this style on your own, first apply a curl-enhancing hair care product throughout the hair and blow dry using a diffuser attachment. 

Next add all over curls to the hair using a medium barrel curling iron.

Allow hair to completely cool before pulling it back into a chignon.  Twist hair and pin into place.

Use the end of a comb to pull out a few wavy wispy strands of hair around the face.  Add long earrings, expertly applied makeup and you are ready for your prom.
