 Top Prom Hair Styles

The next popular hair style is the Updo Hair Style with added side swept bangs, fringe bangs or curly bangs.

Some of these hair styles will have the messy look, which was very popular last year.  But the styles will be slightly more orderly than last year.

See example styles below:

Mariah Carey has a very simple, sleek updo hair style that will look fantastic for any formal occasion, especially the prom.  The hair is smooth and shine all  and pulled back loosely, leaving out many strands around the face.  Long decorative earrings complete the look.

To create this extra shiny hair style, blast the hair with a shine serum after you have flat ironed the hair from roots to the ends.

Add various highlights and lowlights throughout the hair for added dimension and style.

This updo, pictured left, is a great easy prom hair style..  If you are running for prom queen, this may be the style for you, complete with diamond lined tiara, matching necklace and earrings.

Notice how there are a few side swept bangs kept out of the updo along with small fringe hair around the ears?

Paris Hilton has many different hair styles and the messy updo style, pictured left, is a very classic one for her.

Most of the hair is pulled back into a low chignon, pinned in place.  Many wispy, slightly wavy strands are left out for the undone look.  Height in the crown area is created with a little back combing and kept in place with a good dose of strong hold hair spray.
