 Top Prom Hair Styles cont.

The second Top Prom Hair Style is the sleek updo.  This updo is very smooth, pulled back completely.  Very little or no hair is left out of the updo.  The hair has added shine and looks very sophisticated.

See example styles below:

2. Sleek Updo.  To copy these sleek updo hair styles, you will need to apply a styling cream throughout the hair.  Blow dry the hair straight, using a large round brush to direct any layers down and under.

Next, you will need to create extra smooth and shiny hair by flat ironing the hair from roots to the ends.  Always remember to apply a hair care product that will protect the hair from heat before using any flat iron or curling iron.

Add a shine serum throughout the hair for the extra shiny, healthy hair look.

Then, you are ready to create the updo.  The first hair style example, left features the unique placement of flowers in the updo.  The hair is pulled back tightly and twisted, pinned in place in various sections.  Then the flowers are pinned in various locations to accentuate the bends and twists of the hair.

Check out the smooth side updo, see above..  This style looks very sophisticated for an event such as prom.

To create extra height in the crown area, you can either back comb sections of hair, or add a small form in under the hair, pulling the hair over the top to cover it completely.

The hair is parted on the far side and all hair is kept smooth and shiny.
