Check out the partial updo examples here. The style to the left features a partial updo that has a little bit of height in the crown area. This height is easily created by back-combing sections of hair and then smoothing over the top with your fingers.
The style also features loose waves on the ends. The loose waves can be created with either a curling iron or with hot rollers. Experiment with the style several weeks before your prom so that you know exactly how you want it to look.
Add a headband, hairpin, even a hairpiece to this style for variations. See
Hair Products page for great ideas on hair accessories.
A hair accessory can totally change the look of a hair style. Just a simple addition or unique placement is all that is necessary.

The hair style shown at right features a different type of partial updo. The hair in the crown area is pulled back for a high pony tail. The rest of the hair is left long with loose waves.
To create the effect in the front where the hair is off the face, use a large round brush when blow drying and direct the hair in the direction you want it to go.
This is a great, simple partial updo style that will look awesome at any
Prom.
