Partial Updo Hair Styles continued
If you do not like the look and feel of the updo or formal type of hair style, the partial updo is a great option for you. Only a part of the hair is pulled back, while the rest remains down. You can either wear the hair straight, wavy or extra curly. The partial updo hair style shown below features a medium length hair style that has a lot of highlights and lowlights added throughout. The hair in the crown area is back-combed slightly and then smoothed on top while being pulled back into a high ponytail. You can secure the ponytail with a decorative barrette, hair pin or even flowers. To keep all hair back in the partial updo, you can try adding a styling gel to the hair before you pull it back. The product will help to keep fly-aways from messing up your fantastic do.
Hilary Duff has a very glamorous partial updo, see poster photo to left. Most of her hair in the crown area is pulled back into a low ponytail. Side-swept bangs are left out of the ponytail along with a few wispy side strands. |
